Going Against the Grain

Intentionally starving my children from technology. If I had a daughter, I'd make her wear actual clothing from the pioneer days of Laura Ingalls Wilder. Luckily for my children, they are both boys.
About Me

About Me

I should put a disclaimer out there right now, that I have absolutely no idea what I’m doing technology wise here.  I really wanted to put my thoughts down on paper so here I am.  I’m also attempting to hodge podge together a ‘get to know me’ section right now, so hopefully you’re reading this because that’s what you’re trying to do.

I was born in 1988, I despise being called a millennial, so spare me please. I was raised in South Dakota and straight after high school, I enlisted in the military, spent the better half of a decade active duty and currently I serve in the National Guard as a weekend warrior (hua!).  Life seems to have gotten messier along the way.  I have 2 boys, Liam and Silas. I recently resigned from my full time job in order to focus more on my children, made a big move from Texas back up to South Dakota and got a divorce. I had my second son somewhere in there too. It’s been a chaotic last few months.

I’m also slowly becoming the new town bird lady I think. I’m not completely repulsed by the title so we will see where it takes me.

Things I love are (in no particular order):

Minnesota’s countryside
Iced coffee
Lemon bars
Honesty
Seinfeld
Mangos
Italy
Military
